Geplapper vorne weg: Es. Ist. Zu. Warm. Draußen. Zu. Warm! Und ich bin einfach kein Fan von Hitze und Wärme. Überhaupt nicht! Das mag zwar jetzt wie eine Nörgelei herüberkommen, aber der Sommer ist für mich eine der Zeiten, in denen ich mich mit vielen Dingen schwer tue und nicht gerade belastbar bin. Deshalb habe ich mir ein schneeweißes Bild aus dem Winter ausgesucht, um mein Gemüt abzukühlen und es mit einer schnuckeligen Rezi verbunden! Viel Spaß dabei!

„A Deal with the Elf King“, von Elise Kova, war mein erstes Buch der Autorin und klang aufgrund des Klappentextes sehr gut.
Der Schreibstil der Autorin war wirklich schön und umriss die Welt, die Charaktere und die Geschichte auf eine sonderbare Weise, die einfach gut harmonierte. Der Weltenaufbau war schlicht und dennoch so, so dass er einen einnahm und begeisterte. Die Charaktere waren sympathisch, nachvollziehbar in ihren Handlungen und entwickelten sich in der Geschichte bodenständig weiter.
Der Spannungsbogen war okay, hatte aber noch viel mehr Potenzial nach oben. Was ich nicht so mochte war der Anfang der Story. Der Anfang war mir einfach zu vorhersehbar, zu leicht und außerdem zu schnell abgehandelt. Aber der Mitte des Buches wurden die Plottwists besser, bekamen einen anderen Touch und unterhielten mich.
„A Deal with the Elf King“, von Elise Kova, ist mein erstes Buch von der Autorin. Mit einem majestätischen Schreibstil, sympathischen Charakteren und einem sonderbaren Weltaufbau, zog die Autorin hier Kreise, die super harmonierten und mich einnahmen. Die Spannungskurve war gut, hatte aber auf jeden Fall noch Potenzial nach oben und der Anfang der Story war mir zu vorhersehbar und schnell abgetan, wurde aber besser ab der Mitte des Buches. Fazit, ein tolles Buch für zwischendurch, das einen unterhält. Empfehlung!

„A Deal with the Elf King“, from Elise Kova, is the first book, which I read from this author.
Elise Kova has a very unique, beautiful wirting style, which described the worldbuilding, the characters and story very good. I simply loved that. The worldbuilding itself was simple, but intruging and kept me hooked. The characters were sympathetic, understandable in their actions and proved themselves throughout the story.
The charging was good, but had more potential. What I didn´t like was the beginning of the Story. For me it was so simple, to straightforward and to easily handelnd. But it became better at the middle of the story and surprised me even sometimes.
„A Deal with the Elf King“, from Elise Kova, is the first book from the author, which I read. I loved Elise Kovas unique writing style, the sympathetic characters and the simple, but stunning worldbuilding. The charging was okay, but had more potential. And the beginning of the story was to easy, to straight, but got better in the middle of the story and even surprised me. To sum everthing up, I liked it and would recommend it to you.
I gave the book 4/5 🌹.
