„Glint“, von Raven Kennedy, ist der zweite Band der Plated Prisoner – Reihe und wurde serh erwartet.
Im zweiten Band befindet sich Auren in einer Situation, die schwer und problematisch ist und muss ausgerechnet in dieser auch Fuß fassen. Aus ihr lernen, was für Konsequenzen sie mitbringen, was es bedeutet und was es Wert ist dafür zu kämpfen, Loyalität zu geben. Es war eine schmerzhafte, aber auch aufregende Entwicklung, die man mitverfolgte und entgegenfieberte. Neue Charaktere wurden auch eingeführt, die eine komplette neue Dynamik mit sich brachten, bei denen Auren ebenso ihren Stand finden musste. Mehr oder weniger. Das Setting war winterlich, harsch und kalt und erzeugte dadurch so einige komplizierte, aber auch witzige Situationen. Die Story fokussierte sich auf die Änderungen von Aurens Wahrnehmungen von gewissen Dingen, ihrer Entwicklung und das gab dem Buch eine starke, emotionale Untermalung. Vor allem durch den kühnen Schreibstil, der es intensivierte. Und das Ende, alta, das Ende war voller unerwarteter Offenbarungen. Mega!
Der Takt der Story war zwar langsam, aber gut und verständlich herübergebracht. Die neuen Charaktere blieben leider, trotz ihrer Mitbringsel, etwas blass, hätten gerne tiefer beschrieben werden können. Außerdem vermisste ich etwas an Action.

Fazit. Ein super zweiter Band, der so viel für den dritten offen lässt. Absolute Empfehlung!

„Glint“, from Raven Kennedy, is the second book of the Plated Prisoner – Series and was highly anticipated from me.
In the second book Auren is thrown into a situation, which is already difficult and hard on here only in words. And while she is trying to navigate that, trying to learn the consequences from it and find, whats worth fighting for, giving loyalty for, she is tested and pulled in very direction. It was painful and also exhilarating to read. Showed, how she was willing to grow, to overcome the chains, which bind her. We also got to meet new characters, who were interesting und composed a whole new dynamic, in which Auren had to find her feeting. The setting was established in the cold wilderness, the hardships and the resulting harshness. It was great and made some hilarious situations. The story was focused on the changes of perception, Aurens character growth and that gave the book a strong, emotional undertone and feeling. It made me connect with it so more. And with the overall ravishing writing style, it was beautifuly composed. The ending, huuhh, the ending. It was full of turmoil and revelations, that blew me away.
The overall pacing was good, slow, but good. But even though, the characteres could have dropped a little more background information on themselves, so they could have been more relatable and I kinda missed the action, which was way more prominent in book one.

So, to sum everything up. I liked the second installtion, because of its everchanging game of loyalties and coruption. Would recommened it.
